Healthy Body Transformation – Where to Start and How to Keep Going

Firstly, if you’re considering starting a healthy body transformation, go you! A healthy body can do so much more for your life than just having a chiseled core. Having a healthy body means living a healthier life, and that comes with increased energy, improved mental health, and a better-functioning immune system. Where do I sign up?! While changing your current habits may sound daunting, it’s very possible to take a realistic, simple approach towards a healthy body transformation. And it’s totally worth it.

Where Should I Start my Healthy Body Transformation?
Actually starting your transformation is often the hardest part, but with a little planning, a strong mindset, and commitment, you can get there. Let’s help you figure out how to start your healthy body transformation!
Identify Your Goals
Setting goals helps keep you motivated and gives you something to work towards. What helps is coming up with the reason you want to embark on a healthy body transformation. Do you want the confidence to rock a sexy swimsuit next summer? Do you want to lose weight, run faster, or feel better mentally? Whatever the reason, write it down so you can come back to it when the going gets tough.
Change Your Eating Habits
Calorie counting and throwing away all the food in your pantry will only stress you out. Leading a healthy lifestyle is something you want to maintain for your whole life, not just a few weeks. Try incorporating real, whole foods and fresh produce into every meal and limit your intake of processed food and sugars. “Whole foods” are unprocessed, natural foods containing only one ingredient, like vegetables, rice, fruit, and grains. I know life is no fun without gooey cookies and cheesy pizzas, but just make sure you enjoy those things as an occasional treat.
Find a Workout You Love
If you’re already thinking of excuses to avoid going to your spartan-like boot camp training, it might not be the activity for you. If you push yourself into a workout you absolutely dread doing, you won’t last. You need to find an activity you genuinely enjoy. Maybe Pilates is your thing, or running, swimming, or Ariel yoga! Whatever it is, try a new activity each week until you find the one. Don’t knock it till you try it, right? And yes, dancing alone in your living room does count as working out!
Get Enough Sleep
Getting a good night’s rest does much more for your body than you think and is 100% necessary for a healthy body. Getting enough ZZZ’s can boost your immune system, help you lose weight, and it allows your body to recover from exercise and build muscle. Try to get 7-8 hours of beauty sleep every night so you can wake up refreshed, ready to take on the world.
Drink Plenty of Water
I know you’ve heard this over and over, but seriously, make sure you drink enough water! Drinking water boosts skin health, supports digestion, and aids in weight loss. And if that isn’t reason enough to drink more water, it also plays a vital role in maintaining a healthy body. Try to drink 8-10 glasses of water per day, plus a little more if you’ve been training. P.s, this motivational drink bottle may be your new best friend!

How to Stick With Your Body Transformation?
If you’ve decided to start your healthy body transformation, you’re already halfway there! Remember your reason for wanting to start your transformation and check in on your goals. Small progress is still progress, so make sure to pat yourself on the back from time to time. Reward yourself with some new yoga tights or running shoes, or indulge in a much-deserved spa day. You’re not in this alone, so bring along your girlfriends to your next training session, or meet for a hike once a week. Be patient with yourself, and expect it to be hard sometimes. But don’t give up, your healthy body is for life. I believe in you!
